From the moment McKenzie and Eriq reached out to me, I knew this engagement session was destined to be something special. Their request? Not your average run-of-the-mill photoshoot – oh no! They wanted their love story to unfold against the backdrop of their family’s beach house, with a touch of whimsy on a canoe. You bet I said yes faster than you can say “cheese”!
Upon my arrival, I was greeted with an abundance of smiles and warm words from their families. The vibe was pure joy, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead.
We kicked off the session in the backyard, where they swung on a timeless swing that held countless stories and memories. Laughter echoed through the air, and it was clear that every creak of the swing told a tale of love.
But we were just getting started! A quick change of outfits and we were ready to set sail, quite literally. McKenzie and Eriq hopped into a charming canoe, and I, in my trusty paddleboat, bravely battled the gentle chaos of the water.
The love and laughter flowed effortlessly as we navigated the waves, capturing moments that felt like scenes from a fairytale.
As the sun dipped lower, casting a golden glow across the water, I threw out a spontaneous idea – did they want to get in the water? And oh boy, was it worth it! The resulting images speak volumes about the sheer magic that unfolded in that moment. Love, laughter, and a sprinkle of adventure, all captured in the gentle embrace of Stockton’s waters.
